I just started using this very cool website ( WikiLoops ) to work with other musicians.  The drum tracks I found have been fantastic and I am really excited about playing along with some great musicians. I hope to start contributing stuff that gets some feedback which will motivate me to learn more and play better.

Music Stash Spot

I just found a new place to stash my music snippets.  It's a great website for new or established musicians to put albums, songs, poetry, or other audio recordings that you want to share.

Trying Google Hangouts instead of Skype? -- You will want this...

   

When Skype is running, I can easily tell when I get a call.  With Google Hangouts, not so much.

With Google Hangouts (GHO) I needed to be right on a page like Google Plus or Gmail to see that the call was coming in.  Thankfully a co-worker told me about this great add-on that alerts me with a pop-out window whenever I get a call.

Here are the steps to add it:

• Open Chrome
• Insert this into the address bar:
• chrome://apps/
•  go to the "Web Store" (lower right)  
• enter "hangouts" in the search box
• select the Hangouts Extension (click the "Free" button to install it :
