Dan Meyer – Math class needs a makeover:
“Today’s math curriculum is teaching students to expect — and excel at — paint-by-numbers classwork, robbing kids of a skill more important than solving problems: formulating them. Here Dan Meyer shows classroom-tested math exercises that prompt students to stop and think.”

Benjamin Zander – On Music and Passion:
I belive he is saying that learning how to listen to music can make you a whole person. His ideas of leadership are most impressive for teachers, managers, politicians, and anyone who wants to make a difference:

Salman Khan: Let's use video to reinvent education

Salman Khan talks about how and why he created the remarkable Khan Academy, a carefully structured series of educational videos offering complete curricula in math and, now, other subjects. He shows the power of interactive exercises, and calls for teachers to consider flipping the traditional classroom script -- give students video lectures to watch at home, and do "homework" in the classroom with the teacher available to help.
