When Skype is running, I can easily tell when I get a call. With Google Hangouts, not so much.
With Google Hangouts (GHO) I needed to be right on a page like Google Plus or Gmail to see that the call was coming in. Thankfully a co-worker told me about this great add-on that alerts me with a pop-out window whenever I get a call.
Here are the steps to add it:
- Open Chrome
- Insert this into the address bar:
- chrome://apps/
- go to the "Web Store" (lower right)
- enter "hangouts" in the search box
- select the Hangouts Extension (click the "Free" button to install it
